The durian statue in Kampot sits at the city’s central roundabout and celebrates Kampot’s legacy as a major producer of durian (Khmer: ទុរេន tu-ren) Cambodia’s “king of fruits.” It has become a famous landmark and gathering spot for locals and visitors, reflecting the town’s agricultural heritage and serving as a popular photo opportunity.
