Picture of the day: A dinosaur in a Khmer temple! The “dinosaur of Ta Prohm” is a bas-relief carving at Cambodia’s Ta Prohm temple that some claim depicts a stegosaurus. However, mainstream scholars believe the “plates” are likely decorative foliage, and the animal more closely resembles known species or mythical creatures. There is no credible evidence that the carving shows a dinosaur, nor that humans and non-avian dinosaurs coexisted.
