Picture of the day: Fresh Cambodian Kuong, Light Spring Rolls from Phnom Penh

Today’s plate of kuong (Khmer: គួង) fresh spring rolls captures the gentle side of Cambodian street food, with herbs and crunchy greens wrapped in translucent rice paper. Layered with pork, shrimp, and vegetables, these Cambodian fresh spring rolls feel both homely and festive, the kind of snack shared at family tables and riverside gatherings. In Phnom Penh, kuong is a favorite way to cool down and connect, a light bite that carries the bright, herbal soul of Khmer cuisine in every roll.
