This map opens a window onto a remarkable maritime world linking Angkor, South India, and Southeast Asia. In the early 11th century, Suryavarman I cultivated privileged relations with the Chola kingdom of Rajendra I. Behind the arrows and shaded territories lies a story of diplomacy, trade, ambition, and a Cambodia far more connected than we sometimes imagine.
