Longan (Dimocarpus longan, Khmer: មៀន mien), is tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia. It has a thin, light brown shell that is easily peeled to reveal translucent, juicy flesh and a shiny dark seed inside. The sweet, aromatic flavor is often compared to lychee and is enjoyed fresh or in desserts.
