This sandstone stele K.1187 from Prasat Ta Moan Thom preserves a long Khmer and Sanskrit inscription dating to the 11th century, in the reign of Suryavarman I. Its text records royal donations and ceremonial offerings to Hindu deities, underscoring the temple’s role as a sacred stop on the ancient trans-Dangrek route between Angkor and the Khorat Plateau. The densely carved lines and cursive script make the stone a key artifact for understanding Khmer epigraphy, borderland politics, and religious patronage at this remote mountain sanctuary.
