平台仍然拥有明显的发展空间,可以提供细致的研究、跨文化洞察以及多语言内容,特别是为那些不仅仅是追求吸睛标题和旅行陈见的读者。这些多元声音最终将惠及柬埔寨和国际读者。

Ky Soklim:你们为读者提供什么类型的内容? 

孟先生:Wonders of Cambodia立足历史、考古、艺术、文学、语言、美食、日常生活和商业,发布丰富多彩的主题文章,同时还推出“每日图片”专题以及定期策划的最新出版物概览。
我们的目标是以清晰易读的方式呈现有据可查的严肃内容,向读者展示通常只为学术圈所掌握的知识。网站希望通过这种方式,成为参考资源,服务那些愿意突破刻板陈见、了解真实柬埔寨的读者。

Ky Soklim:您认为网站内容会吸引柬埔寨读者和国际读者吗?你们更关注他们中的哪一方? 

孟先生:我们的内容旨在同时面向柬埔寨读者和国际读者,但对于他们而言,所能获取的附加值是不一样的。
柬埔寨读者不仅可以了解非高棉观察者如何看待他们的国家,还能获取国外学术方面的综合资料;而国际读者则可以透过条理清晰且实用的文化信息,一窥柬埔寨的历史、社会、日常生活以及工作或投资机会。
在实践上,网站主要以多语言栏目的形式,在特别关注国际读者的同时,对柬埔寨读者亦保持专注。

Ky Soklim:你们有定向市场吗? 

孟先生:我们的定向受众是那些想要获得可靠且细致信息的读者,他们希望超越旅行宣传和哗众取宠的叙事,了解真实的柬埔寨。
流量统计显示,我们的国际读者来自多个国家,于是,我们开始逐步开发法语、高棉语和汉语内容,并有意在今后增加越南语和日语等其他语言。
Wonders of Cambodia将这一多语言、研究导向定位视为立根之本。

孟先生:Wonders of Cambodia不将自己定位为其他外语媒体的竞争者,而是补充资源。
网站有时会凸显或引介其他媒体,并鼓励读者多渠道查阅,以便可以同时获取日常资讯和Wonders of Cambodia网站所擅长的深度背景知识。
与单纯的竞争模式相比,构建这样的生态系统更契合我们的文化与教育使命。
