Picture of the day: Two Storied Pavilion at Preah Khan Temple

This rare two storied pavilion in Preah Khan rises above the sandstone terrace like a silent guardian of Angkor’s royal past, framed by jungle trees and soft Cambodian light. Its distinctive round columns, unknown elsewhere at Angkor, hint at ceremonial processions that once honored the sacred sword and the spiritual power of the Khmer Empire. Standing here today you feel the dialogue between stone and forest, a timeless moment that captures the living heritage of Cambodia’s sacred architecture.
