Pidan (Khmer: ពិតាន) is a traditional Cambodian silk textile used as a ceremonial canopy or tapestry in Buddhist and Khmer events. It features intricate, pictorial designs of Buddhist scenes, wats, mythical beings, and nature, and is hung in temples rather than worn as clothing. The weaving process uses the complex hol (ហូល) (ikat) technique and was historically carried out by women.
