This large Ganesha (Kh: ព្រះគណេស) statue, believed to originate from Prasat Bak Temple in Koh Ker, was taken from the site around twenty years ago and has since been repatriated to Cambodia. It is now housed in the National Museum in Phnom Penh. In 2020, it and was listed among the world’s ten most wanted looted antiquities, making its return a powerful symbol of cultural restitution.
