Ou Vanndy (អ៊ូ វណ្ណឌី)
Born in Kandal province in 1977, Ou Vanndy studied arts at the Royal University of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh, and then studied educational sciences at the International Institute of Education where he still teaches. As a sculptor, Ou Vanndy gladly borrows motifs from traditional mythologies and has developed an art in which he gladly expresses social messages as he did in Battambang with his monument for peace. His work is regularly exhibited in Cambodia and abroad.
The below sculpture of Cambodia’s famous bovine kouprey was exhibited several months in from of the French Institute in Phnom Penh.
